IP Remote

For many years IP Remote has helped enterprises and government organisations remotely access a corporate virtual private network (VPN) using a standard phone line from anywhere in Australian or various locations around the world.

From November 2007, IP Remote will no longer be sold to new customers. The solution will then exit in two phases:

• September 2008 – IP Remote with frame relay, ATM or DDS Flexnet configuration
• June 2009 – IP Remote with IPWAN configuration.

A number of advanced alternatives to IP Remote are now available:

• Wireless connection off IP WAN

Secure remote access to your information
IP Remote is a remote network product which authenticates each dial-up PSTN or ISDN connection via a designated toll free number to the host network.

• Usage-based pricing - replace remote access equipment and significant capital purchasing decisions with usage-based tariffs
• Universal PSTN and ISDN access - PSTN (up to v.90 or 56Kbps) or ISDN (up to 128Kbps) dial-up data access to host service providers
